Nelson Miller is excited to announce that we are going to be on the TV show “World’s Greatest!” representing the world-leader in manufacturing membrane switches. “World’s Greatest!” is a fast-paced tour around the world featuring behind-the-scenes footage and interviews of some of the most amazing and unique companies, products, people, and travel destinations the world has to offer!
The filming crew came out to our Los Angeles facility on Tuesday September 10th and we showed them what great things we’re up to in our factory. Since the topic was membrane switches, we spent a lot of time filming in our membrane clean room, screen printing clean room wearing the gear and being part of the team.
The screen printing room was a fantastic way to show the filming crew how industrial printers print on metal and plastic materials. Below is our Sakuri completely automated printing press.
We explored how clever and precise the laser machines cut the materials that make up the membrane switch (below).
The dome pick-and-place machine operates very quickly and places the domes onto the cutout circuit layer of the membrane switch (below).
Later the layers are laminated together (below).
Our President, Jim Kaldem, as well as our Vice President, Eric Shumway, shared with the crew in an interview about what makes Nelson Miller the world’s greatest manufacturer of membrane switches. We will share that with you once the video goes live and becomes available to public.
