On the other hand, there are also some drawbacks to LED backlights, one of which is difficulty of achieving a uniform illumination. LED backlights may have trouble producing even, consistent lighting throughout the display. The good news is that this usually doesn’t happen immediately; rather, it happens over time. Therefore, as long as you keep an eye on your LED backlight and replace when needed, this shouldn’t be an issue.

Ultimately, you need to weigh the pros with the cons when choosing a backlighting options for your electronic display. Like all backlights, there are both advantages and disadvantages to LEDs.
